What is Tallow and why is it used in skincare?
Tallow is a natural fat derived from the tallow of grass-fed cows. It is rich in vitamins and closely resembles the natural oils found in our skin, making it incredibly nourishing, moisturising and gentle on the skin.
Is Tallow suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Tallow is non-comedogenic and packed with skin-friendly nutrients, making it ideal for sensitive or dry skin. Many users notice less redness, dryness and breakouts after switching to tallow-based skincare.
Does Tallow smell like meat or animal fat?
Not at all! The tallow we use is slowly processed, naturally filtered and combined with plant extracts to create a clean and subtle fragrance. You won't smell any animal odours, only soft, natural aromas.
How long does a Tallow balm last and how should I store it?
Our tallow balms usually have a shelf life of up to 6 months after opening. Store them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. We do not use synthetic preservatives, so we recommend applying with clean hands or a spatula to maintain freshness.

Our tallow comes from 100% Dutch, grass-fed cows. These cows graze on local pastures and are fed a natural diet without artificial additives. The fat is carefully purified and traditionally processed to preserve its rich nutrients. This ensures that our tallow comes from a sustainable and responsible supply chain.
